Addressing a common concern among commuters, CM Shinde clarified that toll tax will not be imposed on those utilizing the Coastal Road. This decision is poised to make the new route an even more attractive option for daily commuters, ensuring accessibility without an additional financial burden.

The commitment to the Coastal Road Project is evident in the budgetary allocations made by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) for the fiscal year 2022-23. Data from the BMC reveals that the Coastal Road Project commands a significant 17 percent share of the total budget, underscoring its strategic importance for the city.
